WORLD CUP 2026 – SEMI FINALS

SEMI FINALS PREVIEW WITH UK KICK-OFF TIMES

1 Tuesday 14th July – New York – 8pm

France v Spain

France go into the semi final in confident mood after a straightforward 2-0 win over Morocco despite Mbappe’s penalty miss. Spain just did enough to see off Belgium and still look like a team trying to find cohesion with their star players not fully fit.

France seem to have strength in depth and gears still to go through if needed and should make it through to the final.

2 Wednesday 15th July – Miami – 8pm

England v Argentina

England just did enough to see off Norway but struggled for long spells as Norway passed the ball around. Bellingham was the difference with two goals particularly his first goal which showed great touch and composure. Kane has been influential and good at winning free kicks in dangerous areas and penalties.

Argentina look a class act with their will to win keeping them going through many tough times in this World Cup. They also have good strength in the forward areas, with Messi , Alvarez and Martinez all scoring.

Argentina with their know how and attacking threat, may be too much for England especially if they allow the opposition to dominate possession again as the did against Norway.
