WORLD CUP 2026 – FINAL

FINAL PREVIEW WITH UK KICK-OFF TIME

Sunday 18th July – New York – 8pm

Spain v Argentina

Spain have slowly built into the tournament as Yamine Lamal and Neco Williams have recovered from injury so not had the impact they had on Euro 2024.

Spain scored late winners against Portugal and Belgium before their best performance of the World Cup where their possession based game frustrated France and nullified the great attacking French threat.

Argentina have shown resilience in beating Cape Verde and Switzerland as well as injury time winners when coming from behind against Egypt and England.

The countries have only met once at a World Cup and that was 60 years ago in 1966, at Villa Park.

The question is can Spain repeat their semi final performance against a team with such resilience.

I think Spain can and will in the end lift the World Cup.
